




MMICARE ASSOCIATION
MMICARE Association is a Malaysia-government registered independent women volunteer organisation. MMICARE Association is also known as Miss MalaysiaIndia Care Association (Persatuan Prihatin Ratu Malaysia India). It was established in June 2002 as a not-for-profit organisation.
MMICARE Association has two main programmes - the Miss MalaysiaIndian Global and the GIFT HER WITH LIFE project. Both were established in Year 2000 and 2002 respectively.
MMIGLOBAL - The annual Miss MalaysiaIndian Global is MMICARE Association's main fundraiser for all its outreach programme. It also provides MMICARE with regular pool of volunteers for sustainable peer-driven community work.
GIFT HER - All MMICARE'S community initiatives are under the GIFT HER WITH LIFE programme which supports Small Education Grants, meals & tuition for needy and marginalised groups, HPV vaccine rollouts for teenagers in collaboration with the National Cancer Society Malaysia, personal health workshops, environment bootcamps in alliance with the Centre for Marine and Coastal Studies and global outreach programmes.
MMICARE’S OVERIDING MISSION is in keeping with the UN SDGS 2,3,4 & 5
MMICARE Association's mission is to nurture the personal growth among participants through mutual respect, dignity and collective responsibility. In keeping with the four key UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), MMICARE focuses on sustainable grassroot community care programmes through a peer perspective. It addresses real issues and builds the self-esteem of the individual girl and community-at-large through education, healthcare, dignified representations and responsible community positioning. RECOGNITION
- MMICARE Association and the Miss MalaysiaIndian Global programme has been the source of graduate and postgraduate dissertations by students from USM, UKM and KDU.
- MMICARE Association has presented case studies and proposals on its decades-long community engagement programmes and environment awareness bootcamps at international conferences in Japan, Thailand, Indonesia and Hungary.

- MMICARE Association is a member of the regional Asia Pacific Universities Community Engagement Network (APUCEN).
- MMICARE Association is an active member of the National Council of Women Organisations Malaysia ( NCWO).

Mrs Pushparani is the founder of the Miss Malaysia Indian Global personal empowerment pageant and the spirit behind MMICARE ASSOCIATION
Dr (Mrs) Mohanaapriya is the founding president of MMICARE and Chief Operating Officer of the MMIGLOBAL pageant and the GIFT HER WITH LIFE scholarship programme.
Mrs Melissa is the Director for Community Engagement and Chief Financial Officer of the MMIGLOBAL pageant and MMICARE Association
Mrs Tulasi is the Chief Technology Officer for MMIGLOBAL pageant and MMICARE Association
Mrs Sandhya Lord is a trustee of MMIGLOBAL pageant and advisor to MMICARE
Prof Datuk Dr (Mrs) Aileen Tan heads the Centre for Marine and Coastal Studies, USM. She is also the Trustee and co-chairman of the GIFT HER WITH LIFE fund
Prof Dato Dr Zulfigar Yasin, is the lead scientist at the Centre for Marine and Coastal Studies and Chief Advisor for MMICARE's Community & Environment Awareness ( CEA) programme
Dr (Mrs) Premitha Damodaran, is a gynecologist who advises the Reproductive Health workshop series under MMICARE.
